“We have integrated the Journaling Suggestions API into the Day One app to give our users an even richer experience that puts privacy at the forefront, and we can’t wait for them to try it.” “The Journal app is an exciting development for us because it introduces the benefits of digital journaling to a wider audience and ushers in a new chapter for the practice,” said Paul Mayne, founder of the journaling app Day One. In addition, developers can use the new Journaling Suggestions API to add personalized journaling suggestions to their apps, prompting users with moments to write about in a privacy-preserving way, so more people can benefit from journaling and the personalized, secure experience only iPhone can deliver. Users control the type of content that appears in Suggestions and can create a journal entry with the Suggestions they choose. Suggestions based on user activity include writing prompts to empower meaningful insights, and daily reflection prompts help users focus on gratitude, kindness, purpose, and more. Intelligently curated personalized suggestions are designed to help users remember and write about a moment - like new places they’ve visited, photos they’ve taken, songs they’ve played, workouts they’ve completed, and more. Personalized Suggestions and Reflection Prompts Scheduled notifications can help make journaling a consistent practice. Users can browse past entries, bookmark them, or filter for details like photos, workouts, places, and more. It’s just as easy to add content like a news article, music, or a podcast from other apps by bringing it into the Journal app and writing about it. With Journal, it’s easy to get started by logging a simple text entry, or adding rich details like photos, videos, locations, or audio recordings to add more context. IDrive just doesn’t have a very polished design like some of its competitors (Acronis and SpiderOak, for example). (This is common all over IDrive, from the program to the website to the customer support-English doesn’t seem to be the first language of its creators.) Thankfully, most options have a little “?” icon that you can hover over to get more information about what the feature does. During Disk Image backup, you’re prompted to “select the drive you wish to create Disk Image,” which-besides not being a complete sentence-is a little confusing at first. For example, to restore files from a certain date, you click the “Snapshots” button. Everything is where you’d expect it to be, but some options are confusingly worded. Oh, and it has loads of settings to customize your backups, most of which are accessible from the web, so you can manage your backups remotely.Īll that comes in a neat desktop package that’s pretty easy to navigate. You can schedule backups as you like, including “continuous” backups that upload files as they’re changed. You can even create full disk image backups and restore them using a boot disk if anything ever goes wrong with your system. On top of that, IDrive contains a file syncing and sharing service through a folder on your PC, à la Dropbox. This is a huge bonus, and while those files take up space, it means you’ll never ask yourself “Hey, where’d that file go?” like you would with more limited services. IDrive keeps up to 10 versions of your old files, but doesn’t remove deleted files from your backup, ever, until you manually click the “Archive” button. ![]() It's a shame the company does't offer smaller plans such as 500GB or 1TB, however.Įven at its “normal” price.you get a lot for your money.Įven at its “normal” price of $70 per year, you get a lot for your money. IDrive’s base feature set one-ups a lot of its competitors, especially for the price. It may look like a program from the Windows XP days, but looks can be deceiving: it’s chock full of options that power users will love, and easy to use as well. I was trying to upscale a movie, but just to test it out I loaded a 1MB 320x240 avi video to upscale and the software gets stuck saying downloading model/loading model again. I’ve been using Topaz products for many years and never had any problems with anything, but starting a couple versions ago I couldn’t render videos using my Nvidia 3080 Ti and now I can’t render videos at all. You mentioned looking into the models folder in the Topaz Labs LLC/Topaz Video AI folder for a models folder, but after upgrading to v3.2.3 I’ve been unable to upscale any videos and a models folder doesn’t exist within the Topaz Video AI folder. This morning it was still saying the same thing, so I’m not sure if it’s having difficulties downloading the models, loading the models, or something else. Are these indices stored in specific files I could load in to the user template, thus skipping these scans for new It's because we deliberately moved the loops and created a symlink. There are a couple of other things we'd like to achieve if possible, such as skipping the scan for audio units on first run, and the process of indexing apple loops on first run. ![]() If anyone has set up Logic in such a way before and has some pointers, it'd be very much appreciated. Is there an easy way to skip this dialog on first run? If they press no then it finds the existing content just fine, but this is a student environment so I know at least some will just press yes and waste space (and time) downloading another copy of all the content for their account. I think I'm fine deploying the additional content, but for each new user Logic prompts them to download it again on first run. I'm deploying Logic Pro X in a multi user environment (AD bound Macs) for the first time, and am wondering how to make the experience as smooth as possible when a new user logs in for the first time. ![]() No worries, Cisdem Contact Manager has a great feature that should condense all of your contacts.
